Rock Types

                                         Rock Types

Igneous Rock-Intrusive/Extrusive
Interusive- Igneous Rocks form inside of the volcano and has a big crystals.
Extructive- Igneous Rocks form outside of the volcano and has a small crystals

Sedimentary Rocks-Clastic/Crystalline/Bioclastic
                 Clastic-Broken pieces of rock

                           Crystalline-Evaporation of liquid(under water).
             Bioclastic-Made from dead or ganisms(coal)

Metamorphic Rocks-Foliated/Non-Foliated
                       Foliated-The rocks have parallel bands
Non-folited-The rock have no parallel bands
Vocabulary
Magma- Melted rock inside the earth.
Lava-Melted rock outside the earth.
Igneous Rock-cooling crystallization of magma.
Weathering and Erosion-Breaking down rocks wind.
Sediments-Broken pieces of rock.
Compaction- Push together.
Cementation- Glued together.
Sedimertary Rock-Pieces of sediment comloine.
Heat and pressure-Push together
Metamorphic Rock-underground by heat and pressure.
Summary

Sedimentary rock heat and pressure to metamorphic rock.
Metamorphic rock melting into magma.
Magma cooling down and turns into Igneous rock.
Igneous rock weathering and deposition into sediment.
Sediment change into sedimentary rock by compaction and cementation.
The sediment rock heat and prussure into Metamorphic rock.
